Labour Law

We provide legal advice for private and public employers and employees alike, regarding all legal questions beginning with the signing of the contract, through the mutual obligations under labour contracts up to the termination of such contracts. In addition we conduct the necessary lawsuits before the Labour Courts, the Higher Labour Courts and the Federal Labour Court. Our services include drafting labour- and service contracts, negotiating and reviewing your termination agreements and the agreements for winding up existing contracts, representation in disputes relating to the termination of a contract, providing legal advice in cases relating to personal restructuring- and transfer of the business as well as post-contractual advice, for instance in cases relating to restraint of competition. We also take on the day to day legal counselling for human resources departments.

Drafting social compensation plans and single plant bargaining agreements as well as representation in proceedings before the conciliation board are part of our services related to collective labour law.

Urban Planning and Building Law

We take on to represent the building owners’, the building contractors’ and the architects’ interests relating to all questions and problems in and out of court. We also support you in drafting and implementing contracts for work and labour, contracts for building project organisation, architects’ and engineers’ contracts (of service), records of negotiations and contract offers, as well as performance- and warranty bonds. We provide advice in case of questions relating to warranty, to building regulations and urban development laws as well as with drafting invoices such as progress payment (Abschlagsrechnung) - and final invoices pursuant to the German Civil Code (BGB), the German Construction Contract Procedures (VOB) and the Fee Structure for Architects and Engineers (HOAI).

International Law

In case you plan to set up your business outside the borders of the Federal Republic of Germany, we give advice relating to all questions that might arise due to the specific cooperation with the foreign state and the application of the respective law.

Private International Law

In the course of increasing globalisation questions regarding the applicability of German- or any foreign law, such of international jurisdiction, of the admissibility of choice of law clauses in favour of a certain legal system or of the possibilities of execution abroad are becoming more and more relevant. In particular, in the area of commercial- and corporate law one can make reasonable use of international leeways as an instrument for drawing up contracts. We take on to draw up fail-safe contracts in step with actual practise. This applies to the same extent to contracts under corporate law, as well as to license agreements, distribution agreements or general terms and conditions. Furthermore, international legal aspects are of particular importance with regards to purchase law, the law of contracts for work and labour, in the field of pre-nuptial agreements and contracts of succession by inheritance as well as in labour law.

IT-Law

Legal advice in IT-law is one of our key focuses.
